FAQ

Q. When can I get one?
A. Depends on our available time, and demand for the controller; we are busy university students.

Q. How much will you sell them for?
A. Depends on how much all the parts cost for them, because we cannot make them for free, we would like to make a bit of a profit.

Q. Can you post how you guys are making this?
A. Yes, the blog hosting this page should have all of this information.

Q. Why is the RCS joystick on the right and not the left?
A. One, it's where we would prefer to have the joystick; and two, on the key board layout for the KSP the RCS controls are also on the right.

Q. Why did you just use an arduino leonardo/due?
A. Because the arduino mega is closer the uno, which we already possessed, so it was easy to port. There are a few other reasons but they are not important.

Q. Why MatLab? MatLab is terrible! ... etc.
A. MatLab has its uses, and being highly trained in MatLab and its use in the collection and processing of large data types, it was chosen.

Q. Why not C/C++?
A. Don't worry we are in a process of porting it over to a "open source" programming language.

Q. Why did you not use multiplexing?
A. It is slow (comparatively), clumsy and more complex. And it was just easier to set it up as a pin per switch, if something i not responding it does not take out more then one button/switch.

Q. How much did it cost?
A. Approximately $250 CAD

Q. How can I get involved?
